Welcome to my blog Ladies

I would like to start by inviting you to think about the title of this first post.

“Never stop learning!”

Becoming financially literate is key to having the freedom to live your best life possible. Invest in your knowledge to understand your financial situation and how you can grow and develop your income to create the life you wanted. No matter what your income is now I hope to translate my knowledge to you so that you can learn the right tools to gain maximum benefit. Whatever your age or situation it’s a good time to start learning. Being better financially prepared for the ups and downs in life will ease the situations you are facing.  Your willingness to learn and start your education on this matter is vitally important for you and your family.

Remember, knowledge is currency and once you gain it, no one can take that away from you.

Learn how to deal with the information from the financial world, as it is now and always will be a very large part of your life.  What you learn about this now will also be an example to your children. Your actions and knowledge will teach your kids what money really is and help them to become financially literate secure as they get older.

Statistic shows that women are payed less for the same job, than men.  We know this is still unfortunately, true here in Australia. As equality of women develops we are coupled with equal responsibilities as our male counterparts for household, kids and sometime for elderly parents, woman are pre-dispositioned to spend more money than they are able to earn. We get carried away They are forgetting that nothing causes more financial trouble then spending more than earning?

In different stages of our lives, both the level of spending and the things we spend our money on, are changing.

Those so called “life events” such as getting your first job, marriage, having children, and retirement can all have significate effects on your spending patterns. Credit cards are just one most common example in our everyday life where we create a false belief of our income.

I’m sure it’s a common story that almost never works, where just before the purchase we promise ourselves that we will pay the entire purchase off with our next pay when it comes in, but of course by the time our next pay comes in there is always something else that pops up that needs to be prioritised and so the cycle goes. This thinking process is really just an illusion, on which credit card providers betting on to earn their millions in the interest you will always end up paying.

Yet, it is good to have that facilities available, but learning how to use that facility skilfully will enable you to minimize debts and feel more in control of your spending.

However, most of us carry credit card debt for years, pay late fees and make minimum payments to just keep afloat.

As we get through different weeks I will share some tips and tricks on how to keep ahead.

What has been your experience with debt? Have you had a good technique paying debt off that has worked for you?
